David Varty - Sales & Technical Director
David is a co-founder of Howard Russell Construction. He is a civil engineering graduate with over 30 years experience in the industry working for major national contractors Sir Robert McAlpine, Brims & Company, Balfour Beatty Construction and Tolent Construction.
David's current role includes business development and estimating; as well as the planning, procurement and design development of all projects pre-construction.
Joe Prouse - Contracts Director
Joe is also a co-founder of Howard Russell Construction. He is from a trades background with over 40 years experience in the construction industry working for major national contractors Balfour Beatty Construction and Tolent Construction.
Joe’s role includes leading and directing the site team with a totally ‘hands on’ approach; as well as overseeing the planning and design development of all construction projects.
Ian Goss - Commercial Director
Ian joined Howard Russell Construction in March 2003, having worked with both David and Joe earlier in their careers. He is a quantity surveyor with over 30 years experience in the industry, 12 years in private practice for the former Northern Regional Health Authority, followed by senior management roles with major national contractors, namely Balfour Beatty Building, Tolent Construction, and Clugston Construction.
Ian’s current role includes the commercial and contractual management of all projects post tender.
Construction Team
Howard Russell Construction employs a full team of support staff including project managers, engineering staff, and quantity surveyors; as well as employing their own site teams of supervisors, joiners and general operatives.
Accounts / Administration
This function is carried out at their offices on the Apex Business Village headed up by Kellie-Jo Huntley, the Accounts / Office Manager.
